Nice review, but I have to disagree on a couple of things. First, as a female I don't have any problem believing Hank can get laid so often! And for the most part , he's nice to these women. Second, Karen is just as flawed and confused as he is. She's the one who cheated on him, and then she cheated on Bill with Hank. Her reaction to Becca's decision to live with Hank was totally self-centered -did we ever hear her express concern for what Becca was feeling?
I think Season 2 reinforces all this. Especially the part about not having it both ways! I'd like to hear your take on what happens after happily ever after... :)

What about The Bunker? Tony Hopkins depicting Hitler's last days. Incessant crying and whining about incompetent surrogates; defiance that the war is not over and their will be no surrender; and of course the inevitable conclusion of suicide. I'd say that just about nails it.

This film forced me to revisit my own chaotic upbringing. I left the theater thinking of the experiences of my two younger brothers and I.

I loved the details. The tiny almost unnoticeable innuendos between siblings. The journey and discovery. I found it to be somewhat emotional which I was a bit surprised by. Physical and emotional pain that turns to laughter. But overall, wouldn't many of us like to have the opportunity that Francis, Jack and Peter had with our own siblings? To hash it out? To forgive, to laugh, to heal to reflect and move forward.

Anyway, love that you all posted on this one.

Well done!

McCandless's story is tragic, but then so many people have benefited from hearing it... a couple of years of hitchhiking and camping made a story that now challenges thousands (millions?) of people to reexamine their lives
